One moment: One Picture: A Whole Story

Inspired by the story of the so-called sinful woman who anointed Jesus feet with her perfume and her tears then drying them with her hair (Luke 7:36-50.)  In this one watercolour painting,  I sum up all the events of the story and the emotions of those involved. 

This piece of art was originally created as an illustration for a sermon I preached on the woman who anointed the feet of Christ. At the end of the sermon, in a nod to Ignatian Spirituality I used the picture to help people imagine themselves in the place of the woman.
